According to a new report, the OnePlus 13 Mini won’t have a ‘mini’ battery. In fact, its battery will be quite the opposite. This information comes from Digital Chat Station, one of the best tipsters around.
The OnePlus 13 Mini could end up sporting a not so mini battery
The tipster claims that the phone will feature a 6,000mAh battery. Considering that the phone will have a 6.3-inch display, the battery capacity is huge. It’s huge even for a large-format flagship, let alone for a compact one.
For comparison’s sake, the Xiaomi 15, which has a 6.36-inch display, has a 5,400mAh battery. The Galaxy S25, on the other hand, has a 6.2-inch display, and a 4,000mAh battery. OnePlus is aiming high, it seems.
Needless to say, that will be a silicon-carbon battery. Even if it ends up being a bit smaller than that, OnePlus will use a silicon-carbon battery. The tipster also claims that the phone is coming in the first half of the year.
It’s expected to launch in April
In a previous report, Digital Chat Station mentioned that the phone could launch in April. So, that could still be the launch month for this device. We’re just not sure if it will launch in global markets.
He also mentioned that devices will bigger batteries, 6,500mAh-7,000mAh are coming in H2 this year. He was referring to OnePlus and OPPO devices, though we still don’t have all the details.
The OnePlus 13 Mini is said to include the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, along with a 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX906 sensor). An 8-megapixel ultrawide camera was also mentioned, as was a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (3x optical zoom). There’s a chance it could include only two cameras on the back, though.
We’re not exactly sure whether this phone will launch globally at all, let alone in April. In regards to its design, chances are it will resemble the OnePlus 13 to a degree. OnePlus will likely utilize a quad micro-curved design.
