Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8 Watch version is shaping up to be an impressive update, as indicated by several leaks lately. The new UI for the Galaxy Watch series devices will flaunt features like random watch faces, app shorts, and more. It will also borrow the app icons from One UI 7, but with a few differences. Now, a new leak suggests that One UI 8 Watch could bring redesigned tiles for key Galaxy Watch applications.
One of these leaked tiles has also provided some information regarding a new health feature Samsung is developing for its smartwatches.
One UI 8 Watch could offer two tile sizes
Samsung news-focused publication SammyGuru has discovered a handful of new tile previews for One UI 8 Watch. From the looks of it, Samsung’s new UI for smartwatches will offer two tile sizes for various apps like Samsung Health, Calendar, Weather, and more. The first option, the Fill Size tile, displays information from the app across the entire watch screen, as shown below.
We can call the secondary option the Half Size tile. As you can see in the leaked photos, these will only show you key information from the app.
We can safely assume that you can combine two half-size tiles into one tile. In this way, the users can get key information from a full-size tile on the same screen. This approach allows users to access key health information tracked by the wearable without having to swipe multiple times.
These tiles have also revealed Samsung’s Antioxidant Index feature for Galaxy watches
A couple of days ago, a leak suggested that Samsung is developing an Antioxidant Index feature that will work through your Galaxy Watch. Now, one of the tiles in the latest leak has revealed what it’ll look like on the smartwatch. As per the source, this feature can measure a user’s beta carotene levels. Then it outputs a response on three different levels – Low, Adequate, and Optimal.
Also, the leak shows refreshed tiles for various other apps, including the Media Controller, Alarm, and Stopwatch. It appears that Samsung is putting a lot of focus on how the apps display information on the tiny display of its smartwatches.
