Latest Roborock Saros 10 Series Delivers Tech And Deep Cleaning Upgrades, Now $200 Off

Fresh off of its CES 2025 unveiling, the Roborock Saros 10 and Saros 10R are now available for purchase with major high-tech upgrades, deeper cleaning tools, and more, and they’re currently $200 off their retail price.

The Roborock Saros series is the company’s newest lineup of robot vacuums, bringing the best tech of its past systems to a sleek new form factor full of updated tech. Both of these new models measure in at just 3.14-inches in height, meaning they can easily slip underneath most couches for improved cleaning.

For the Saros 10R, Roborock is introducing some of its most advanced tech to date. Roborock is introducing the StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 which delivers vastly improved obstacle avoidance and recognition for better navigation through your home with fewer errors. For instance, waking up to those days where your vacuum ran over a cable somewhere in the home and get stuck are gone, as StarSight is able to recognize a loose cable and avoid it. It also works much better at night and around unexpected objects or mirrors. This system also keeps the robot very low to the ground for improved clearance underneath objects.

Both the Saros 10R and the Saros 10 also offer improvements to where they can clean. Both have an arm that can extend out to better clean corners, as well as featuring a dual-brush system to effectively eliminate those annoying hair tangles. The “AdaptLift” chassis design also makes it possible for the robot to clear small obstacles such as a floor divider or a chain leg (pictured below) with ease. The Saros 10 also features drastic suction power upgrades, hitting 22,000Pa – a whopping 120% increase over the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra.

Roborock is also equipping both of these machines with the option to either use a base station with water tanks for mopping, or a smaller tank that can hook directly into water and drainage systems. This is an option you’ll get at the point of purchase.

Where these machines differ is in their main piece of tech. For the Saros 10R, it’s all about the new StarSight navigation system. For the Saros 10, there’s a really clever new mopping solution and other cleaning upgrades.

Roborock Saros 10 is able to automatically detach its vibrating mopping deck to provide a more efficient cleaning for carpets. If the robot goes out for cleaning where it only requires vacuuming, it’ll leave the mopping deck behind in the dock with no user action required. Saros 10R will leave its mops behind as well, but it has spinning mop heads instead of Roborock’s vibrating system. The Saros 10 also brings a mopping upgrade with a smaller side mop for cleaning the edges of a floor a bit more thoroughly. As for navigation, while it’s not using the StarSight system, Roborock has equipped the Saros 10 with a retractable LiDAR sensor that still enables the thinner profile.

Roborock Saros 10 and Saros 10R are truly at the cutting-edge of robot cleaning tech, each with their own clear strengths. The Saros 10 is equipped with a few extras that might deliver a deeper clean, but Saros 10R’s new navigation system delivers better autonomy while still offering a thorough cleaning experience.

Both Saros 10 and Saros 10R will retail for $1,599.99, but during their initial launch period from Feb 10 to Feb 16, they’ll be available for $200 off, taking that price down to $1,399.99.
