How To Record In LOG On Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

One of the new features on the Galaxy S25 Ultra this year, is the ability to record in LOG. Now, if you’re not a videographer, you likely don’t have any clue what LOG is. And that’s okay. LOG essentially records video that looks more flat, but it does record way more details, which the videographer can color grade later on, with their own LUT. Recording in this mode allows the camera to preserve more details in both highlights and shadows, which gives you more control over the final look of the video.

The ability to record in LOG is actually a feature that the iPhone has had for a couple of years now. So good to see Samsung adding it, even if it is only on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. And today, we’re going to show you exactly how to record in LOG on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

First off, open the Camera app on your Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Now tap on the four dots icon on the bottom right side of the viewfinder.

Then tap on the gear icon to enter the Settings.

Scroll down to the video section and tap on Advanced video options.

Here, you’ll see a number of video options for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Scroll down to where it says Log. Tap on the toggle to the right to turn it on.

If you tap on “Log“, you can also choose whether you want this feature to appear in Pro video mode only, or Video and Pro video modes. I’d recommend having it available in both, particularly if you want to do a lot of LOG recording.

Now when you go into either video mode, you’ll now see a toggle in the upper-right-hand corner for LOG. It’s next to the HDR toggle. Just tap on it to turn it yellow, anytime you want to record in LOG.

And that’s it. Now you can record in LOG on your brand new Galaxy S25 Ultra. Read up on more Galaxy S25 Ultra news to stay up to date.
