The Vivo X200, Vivo X200 Pro, and Vivo X200 Pro mini were announced not long ago. Those are the company’s flagship offerings at the moment. The Vivo X200 Ultra is on the way, however, and thanks to a certification filing we managed to get the very first look at the phone’s design.
If you check out the image below, you’ll see the device itself from several angles. These images come from TENAA, which is China’s equivalent to the FCC. The phone was certified for sale, even though chances are it won’t arrive for another couple of months at least.
As you can see, the design is similar to what the Vivo X200 series offers. There is a huge camera oreo on the back, and the ZEISS branding is included there too. This phone will also adopt the quad micro-curved design from its siblings. The glass on its front and back will be curved towards the edges. The display will be flat, though.
Its physical buttons will sit on the right-hand side, as expected. The camera oreo will protrude on the back quite a bit, and a display camera hole will be centered up top.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC will likely fuel the device
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor is expected to fuel this phone. As a reminder, the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 fuels the VIvo X200, Vivo X200 Pro, and Vivo X200 Pro mini.
The device will likely include a 2K LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. A 6,000mAh battery is expected to be included, while 100W charging will likely be on offer too. The phone will support 50W wireless charging as well.
A compelling triple camera setup is expected on the back
The phone could either have the same main camera as the Vivo X200 Pro, or a 1-inch type sensor, it remains to be seen. A 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera will be included, though, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.
If we had to guess, we’d say that the phone will launch in April. There is also a good chance it will stay exclusive to the Chinese market.
