Google Adds AI Voiceovers To Google Vids

Google has a video creation platform called Vids. It’s not a video generation platform. Rather, you’d use it to create video presentations. It has some AI features, as all Google products do. According to the company, Google is adding AI voiceovers to Google Vids.

Google unveiled Google Vids last year, and it’s been testing it out ever since. The platform can basically create and edit is video or you. It will generate a draft for you to then edit. If you have to make a presentation or multiple presentations for your team, then this could save you some time and effort.

All you have to do is describe what sort of video you want to make using the text field. Then, it will create an outline, find clips, generate titles, and so on. From that point, you can go in and add your own content. It can be a timesaver if you need to create videos on a constant basis.

Google Vids now has an AI voiceover function

While Google does let you be involved with your video, the company is coming out with a feature that allows you to offload more tasks onto AI. Google Vids will allow you to make AI voiceovers. Before, you would be in charge of adding the voice to the video.

However, Google announced that you can now create AI-generated voiceovers. So, if you don’t feel like recording your voice, then you can use a voiceover. It won’t only give you an AI-generated voice. The platform will also create scripts for you. So, if you don’t even want to type what you want to say. You can pretty much give the reins over to the AI.

Google’s AI is pretty advanced, so it can actually match the voice to the text of the scene. You’ll be able to choose from a selection of different voices as well.

Google is rolling this out now, but it could take up to two weeks before it hits you. It will be available for Google Workspace customers with Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, Essentials, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Essentials Plus, Education Plus plans. Additionally, customers with a Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, or Education Premium add-on
