Luckily, Google is looking to create some order from chaos, debuting a new feature called Agent Mode in Gemini that will allow users to get a concise report about vacant listings that shows all the relevant details.

Let Gemini do all the heavy lifting

The announcement was made during this year’s Google I/O keynote, with CEO Sundar Pichai throwing out a hypothetical scenario during the presentation where friends are trying to find a new apartment, and have a certain budget in order to make it possible.

Normally, if you were the one searching for a new place, you’d navigate to a few or maybe even more websites, looking for the perfect place. However, with Gemini’s Agent Mode, you pop in your criteria for a new apartment, like how many people, the budget, and location, and it will do all the heavy lifting.

You can even throw in location-based data, such as being close to certain amenities, and it will also take that into consideration as well. It does all this by using Project Mariner to search through various websites to produce the information needed. It can also search for new listings at certain intervals as well. So, you’ll always have the latest information.

Now, while this all sounds like a apartment hunters’ dream, Gemini users will have to wait just a little while longer, as the feature hasn’t rolled out to the public quite yet. Pichai did share on stage that it would be rolling out to Gemini subscribers soon, so keep your fingers crossed that it comes sooner rather than later.
