Gemini App Rolls Out ‘more Natural’ 2.0 Flash Conversational Style, Rounded Logo Spotted

Last week, Google introduced an “enhanced version” of the 2.0 Flash model that offers a more natural conversational style in the Gemini app.

According to the 2025.04.19 Release updates entry (which was just added today), the Gemini app is now using an “enhanced version of Gemini 2.0 Flash.” This is not the first time that Google has quietly updated the current stable model.

Notably, this new version of Gemini 2.0 Flash “enables a more natural, collaborative, and adaptive conversational style.” Users can expect “more fluid and engaging interactions that feel in tune with specific topics and tasks.”

To “feel the difference,” Google suggests:

  • chatting about your interests
  • working through a problem at school, work, or home
  • asking for a new, more creative perspective

We’re committed to making Gemini a more insightful, collaborative partner. When it’s better at understanding context and engaging in helpful dialogue, it’s easier for you to create, interact, and accomplish your goals.

2.0 Flash is the current stable model available for all users. It will most likely be replaced by 2.5 Flash when that exits the experimental stage. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen how long 2.5 Pro will remain available for free. Google might be waiting for it to go stable.

Meanwhile, Gmail is using a tweaked Gemini logo that rounds out the four points. This is the case on Android and the web. Google might have made this change to improve the tiny version of this icon, and follows the color tweak.
