The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are seemingly getting some upgrades compared to their predecessors. Well, at least if a tipster is to be believed, who detailed those upgrades in an X post.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Flip 7 upgrades have been listed by a tipster
This information comes from PandaFlash X. He claims that both phones will get a larger vapor chamber. That should decrease the overall temperature both phones are omitting, and it’s always a good thing.
On top of that, the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s display crease should be decreased even further compared to the current-gen model. He notes that it will still be visible, but “almost gone” at the same time.
Both smartphones are said to include a “new more smooth and durable hinge mechanism”. So, it seems like Samsung is looking to upgrade its hinges even further. Needless to say, that’s a good thing, it may allow the company to decrease the thickness of the phones at the same time.
The ‘Fold’ will end up offering improved speakers too
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will also end up featuring improved speakers based on what is said here. The tipster is not yet sure about the speaker situation on the Galaxy Z Flip 7, though.
He also noted that the button placement will remain the same as on the current-gen models, and the same goes for pill-shaped speakers. That’s basically everything PandaFlash X had to say this time around.
It remains to be seen if this information is true, but if it is, that’s great to hear. Based on previous information, it seemed like Samsung won’t really deliver notable upgrades over the previous-gen models. These improvements sound promising, so let’s hope they’ll come to fruition.
As a reminder, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are expected to arrive in Q3 2025, and cost the same as their predecessors. They’ll probably launch in either July or August. Last year, the devices arrived in July, while a year before an August launch was organized.
