We’ve had hints and rumors about the return of the Classic model. Now, some early leaked renders offer a first clear look at the design of the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic.
The leak, courtesy of @OnLeaks and Sammy Guru, confirms that the beloved rotating bezel is officially making a comeback. After the Galaxy Watch 7 series skipped a “Classic” model last year, many enthusiasts missed that tactile, signature Samsung smartwatch feature. So, the return of the physical rotating bezel for the Watch 8 Classic is fantastic news for anyone who values that intuitive control method.
Looking at these early renders, the Watch 8 Classic appears to have a more prominent, circular frame on a more “square” base. This is pretty similar to what we’ve seen on the Galaxy Watch Ultra. It’s a design choice that gives the watch a bold and robust appearance.
From the looks of it, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will sport a display of approximately 1.5 inches. Its dimensions are roughly 46 x 46.5 x 14.2 mm, suggesting it might arrive at a single 47 mm. Regulatory filings point to a 435mAh rated battery (typically 450mAh), which is a slight bump up from its predecessor’s 425mAh.
The Watch 8 Classic has also been spotted making its way through certification bodies. The listings have revealed model numbers SM-L500 (for Bluetooth) and SM-L505 (for LTE). This usually means a launch is indeed very close.
