Samsung is planning to launch a new variant of the Galaxy Tab S10 flagship tablet soon. Called the Galaxy Tab S10 FE, the tablet has been the subject of several leaks and reports lately. Recently, an insider leaked some 5K renders and a 360-degree video of the new Samsung tablet, giving us an early look at the design of the device. The slate was also recently certified by a regulatory authority in South Korea, which also included a live image of the device. Now, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE has received certification from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States.
Samsung could launch the Galaxy Tab S10 FE soon as the FCC has approved it
Both the global and US variants of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE have been certified by the FCC. The tablet has received certification from the agency under the model numbers SM-X528U and SM-X526B. The former model number is for the US variant, while the latter seems to be the global version. The FCC IDs of the tablet’s variants are A3LSMX528U and A3LSMX526B.
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 FE’s SM-X528U variant for the US supports Wi-Fi 802.11ax and 5G FR1 bands with sub-6GHz frequencies. The FCC certification documents also suggest that the slate supports the S Pen and 45W fast-charging capabilities. The global SM-X526B model also offers the same features, as seen in the FCC documents. Unfortunately, the documents haven’t revealed anything else regarding the upcoming tablet.
Galaxy Tab S10 FE series rumored specifications
Samsung could launch two tablets in the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series, the vanilla Galaxy Tab S10 FE model and a Plus variant. As per the reports, the vanilla variant will feature a 10.9-inch display with a 2,304 x 1,440 pixels resolution. On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ will offer a larger 13.1-inch display bearing a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels. Furthermore, the leaks so far suggest that Samsung will power the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series with the Exynos 1589 chipset.
Additionally, the rumor mill has suggested that the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series tablets will be available in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, as well as 128GB and 256GB storage models. They will feature a single 13MP main camera and a 12MP front shooter. Furthermore, they will offer stereo speakers, a fingerprint scanner, and IP68 certification for protection against dust and water. Lastly, an 8,000mAh battery will keep the lights on the Galaxy Tab S10 FE. A beefier 10,090mAh battery could fuel the Plus model.
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE series tablets will also deliver One UI 7.0 out of the box, like the recently launched A series phones. Since the slate is certified by the FCC and many other regulatory agencies, Samsung could officially launch the device very soon.
