The Galaxy S25 series launch event is less than a week away. We already know a lot about the design and tech specs of these devices. Now, the latest reports include leaked promo materials with details about the Galaxy S25 lineup’s new AI-powered features and camera setup.
Leaked promo materials confirm camera specs and some AI features of the Galaxy S25 series
Marketing images shared by TecnoBlog offer specific details about the camera specs and a couple of AI features of Samsung‘s next-gen flagship mobile devices.
“Now Bar” is a feature that, since its implementation in One UI 7 beta, many have compared to iOS’ “Live Activities.” It’s a sort of lock-screen widget that shows contextual notifications for apps and services you’re using. However, thanks to the power of AI, Now Bar on upcoming flagship Galaxy models will also proactively suggest actions and offer summaries of useful information for your day-to-day life.
In the morning, Now Bar could display information about the weather and suggest a common action for you, such as opening Google Maps. The feature could suggest music for your commute, while the evening summary could include “memorable moments” from your day recorded by the device and information about your fitness goals.
Plus, there’s a Gemini-powered feature called “YouTube Notes.” It will let you ask the AI-powered assistant to pull information from a YouTube video. Such information will be available to you in Samsung Notes. The image shows as an example that you can ask Gemini to list the places mentioned in a particular video.
The leak also confirms the camera setup of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The vanilla and Plus models will share the same 50MP (OIS) + 12MP ultra-wide + 10MP telephoto (3x optical zoom) rear setup. Meanwhile, the Ultra model will boast 200MP (OIS) + 50MP ultra-wide + 10MP telephoto (3x optical zoom) + 50MP periscope (5x optical zoom) sensors. All models share the same 12MP front camera. Marketing material claims that the S25 Ultra’s 200MP sensor can take 2x lossless photos, while the periscope lens offers “optical quality” at 10x zoom.
The Galaxy S25 Plus could feature a 4,900mAh battery. On the other hand, the Ultra’s could be slightly denser at 5,000 mAh. The entire S25 lineup could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip. They will also run Android 15 under the One UI 7.0 custom skin.
More AI features tipped by another source
Another tipster, Ahmed Qwaider, shared details about more AI-powered features that Samsung will debut on its upcoming flagship phones. “Music Search,” as the name suggests, can identify a song and information about the artist. “Homework AI” will be able to identify and solve equations, breaking down the process step by step. “Routines” will proactively suggest routines that might be useful for you based on your habits. The latter could be part of the “Now Bar” feature.
Lastly, Samsung will use both Google’s Gemini and its own Gauss AI model for its set of new features.
