The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will go on sale soon after launch, as expected. We won’t be seeing any additional delays or anything like that. The information comes from Max Jambor, a tipster, who said that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be available in Q2 2025.
Now, considering that we already know that the phone will launch “around April”, it was kind of a given that it’ll become available in Q2. It’s nice to have confirmation from a trusted source, though, that’s for sure.
The “around April” part came from Samsung’s representative last month, so its launch timeframe was basically confirmed. We still don’t know the exact launch date, nor month. May was rumored at first, and then the “around April” info surfaced.
Do note that the Galaxy S25 Edge was teased during the company’s first Unpacked event of the year. In other words, it was teased last month. The company even showed us its design, kind of.
The Galaxy S25 Edge will feature two cameras on the back, and that was a last-minute decision. The phone was supposed to have three cameras on the back, but Samsung opted for two in order to make the phone even thinner.
The phone will be only 5.84mm thick
Based on a recent report, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be 5.84mm thick, while it was originally planned to be 6.4mm thick. The device is also said to include a 3,900mAh battery. Its display is expected to be around the size of the Galaxy S25+’s panel.
That doesn’t look good in terms of battery life, but we’ll see. Battery longevity is probably not Samsung’s main goal when it comes to this device. Its immense thinness is the thing that will be heavily marketed.
Other than that, the device is expected to have similar specs to the Galaxy S25+. One report did mention that a 200-megapixel camera may be included on the back, though, the one from the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
