Galaxy S25 Edge Launch Reportedly Moves To May 13

Following a last-minute delay, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is reportedly set for a new launch date of May 13.

Samsung showed off its ultra-thin smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, alongside the rest of the S25 series in January. While no firm release date was mentioned at the time, we initially reported that Samsung was planning on an April launch, which was then narrowed down to April 15/16. But, earlier this week, Samsung abruptly hit the pause button with an indefinite delay for the smartphone, apparently due to a “technical issue” of some kind, as recent reports have brought out.

Now, we’re getting a better idea of when the Edge will debut.

Max Jambor, a reliable leaker reporting for SamMobile, claims that the Galaxy S25 Edge launch date has been pushed back almost exactly one month to May 13.

The launch event would move from in-person to online-only, and it’s also unclear how availability will be affected by the delay. The report says it is unclear “if the phone will hit retail shelves in the same month,” implying we might not see a Galaxy S25 Edge release date until June.
