Last year, Eufy announced plans to launch its SmartTrack item trackers for Android’s Find My Device network, but the company quietly seems to have scrapped those plans.
In April 2024, Eufy announced that it would launch trackers for Android’s Find My Device network starting in June 2024. As that date passed, Eufy quietly updated the blog post to say that the trackers were coming in “late 2024,” another timeline which has now passed.
We’ve since found that Eufy has deleted this announcement entirely.
If you go to the original link for the post, it now redirects to Eufy’s homepage. This happened sometime in December 2024 as per the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, which shows that the page was still live as of late November 2024. Google’s blog post still references Eufy trackers.
Eufy still references the Find My Device network on a support page, but has never released product pages for “SmartTrack for Android” trackers. Eufy still sells trackers for iOS’ Find My network.
Had Eufy delayed its trackers again, it would be reasonable to expect another update to that original post. But seeing as the company has never commented on the delays outside of that post and has now simply deleted it entirely, it seems like Eufy has simply scrapped its plans for a Find My Device tracker for Android users.
This leaves Pebblebee, Chipolo, and Motorola’s Moto Tag as the only tracker options for the Find My Device network. Eufy would have offered a low-cost option, as its SmartTrack series is often available for under $20.
