Eufy Says It Is Still Testing Find My Device Trackers For Android

It’s been almost a year since Eufy committed to releasing versions of its SmartTrack trackers for Android’s Find My Device network, but they’re still not here. Now, Eufy is providing an update, saying that “testing is ongoing” for its Find My Device trackers and promising further updates next month.

Earlier this week we reported that Eufy had seemingly scrapped its Find My Device trackers for Android as the company had quietly deleted references to the product, including any commitment to a release window, in recent weeks.

Eufy, speaking to Android Police, says that it is still planning a release.

According to a Eufy spokesperson, testing for these products is “ongoing” and an update for their release will be coming sometime in February.

External user testing is currently going on and we should have an update on commercial/retail availability of these devices by mid-February.

There’s still no word on why Eufy deleted its references to these products entirely rather than simply updating the post to reflect the delay, as it had done in mid-2024 in line with the first delay. In any case, it’s good to see Eufy still bringing these products to market. As mentioned in our prior coverage, Eufy’s SmartTrack lineup delivers some of the most affordable tracker options available, with the trackers for Apple’s Find My network often available for under $20.
