Details Of Intel’s Upcoming Arrow Lake Refresh & More Info Leaks

Earlier in January, Intel introduced the Arrow Lake AI chips for laptops. Now, the company is reportedly planning to launch the refreshed variants of the Arrow Lake CPUs. Ahead of an official announcement, a fresh leak has revealed some details regarding the Intel Arrow Lake refresh chips. In addition, some information about the upcoming Intel Panther Lake and Wildcat CPUs has also surfaced.

Intel‘s new Arrow Lake refresh could flaunt up to 48 TOPS AI power

Multiple reports in the past few months have claimed that Intel is working on an Arrow Lake refresh, an upgraded variant of its existing desktop and mobile CPUs. These refresh are specifically of the S- and HX-variants for high-end notebooks. A new leak claims that Intel would only upgrade the NPU (Neural Processing Unit) part of the upcoming Arrow Lake Refresh CPUs. The NPU of the current Arrow Lake chips is capable of churning out a maximum of 13 TOPS AI power. However, the upgraded variant of these CPUS could deliver up to 48 TOPS. Intel’s Arrow Lake Refresh could borrow its NPU from the Lunar Lake series of chips, suggest the fresh leaks.

Intel’s Panther Lake configurations outlined

As per the reports, the Panther Lake line of CPUs will succeed the current Arrow Lake chips. This range is going to be a mobile-only lineup. It will allegedly exclude on-package memory solutions like the ones found on the Lunar Lake family. As per the fresh leaks, the top Panther Lake-H SKU will offer four performance cores, eight efficient cores, and four low-power cores. Intel will set them up alongside a 12 Xe3 iGPU that’s based on the Celestial architecture and supports LPDDR5X memory.

This configuration will deliver 180 TOPS of AI power. It will be a significant improvement over Arrow Lake’s 100 TOPS peak AI performance. There will also be two more configurations in 4+8+4 and 4+0+4 core layouts, paired with 4 Xe3 iGPU cores and 100 TOPS of AI computing power.

Details of Intel’s Wildcat Lake have also surfaced

Furthermore, the new leak indicates that Intel will launch an entry-level lineup dubbed the Wildcat Lake chips. These will offer two performance cores, 0 E-cores, and four LPE cores. This configuration will include two Xe3 iGPUs, support for two Thunderbolt 4 ports, LPDDR5x/DDR5 memory support, and deliver a total of 40 TOPS AI compute.

If we believe the reports, Intel plans to launch the Panther Lake CPUs at some point in the second half of 2025. Intel could introduce the Arrow Lake Refresh chips by the end of the year. Apart from the Arrow Lake Refresh, Panther Lake, and Wildcat Lake CPUs, Intel is also working on the Nova Lake chips.
