Alongside the launch of Best Buy’s weeklong Outlet Sale, we are now tracking some serious opportunities to save on Geek Squad refurbished gear and some open-box listings with full warranties attached. Firstly, we have one of the best prices ever on all sizes and colors of the Samsung Galaxy Ring at $220 off, much like the Google Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) at up to $109 off and the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are $119 off. From there it’s over to some monitors deals – Samsung’s latest 27-inch 4K UHD 144Hz Odyssey G7 G70D gaming monitor at its best price ever and a $300 price drop on the M8 Smart Monitor. Everything else awaits below.
Massive $220 price drop hits Samsung Galaxy Ring, all colors and sizes at $180 (Open-box, full warranty)
Another deal from the now live Best Buy Outlet event we wanted to pay some special attention to is the open-box “excellent” condition offer on the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Samsung entered the finger wearable market last year with the no subscription needed Galaxy Ring at $400 – it is currently fetching as much directly from Samsung. Best Buy, however, is now offering its best quality open-box units in just about all sizes and colors with a massive $220 price drop today – all of them are now selling for $179.99 shipped. On this landing page, choose your color and size, and then click the “Shop Open-Box” button to see the discounted price. Details below.
Deals in general on the Galaxy Ring have been relatively hard to come by. There were some notable bundle offers with purchase of a new S25/S25 Ultra handset previously, and we did catch one opportunity at Amazon to save a straight up $120 off all colors and sizes in brand-new condition (they are also at the full $400 there right now), but this is the first time we have tracked the whole lineup at as much as $220 off with no bundle needed.
As per usual with these Best Buy open-box deals, we are only featuring the very best “excellent” condition units – they work and look like new, include all of the accessories, and ship with a full 1-year warranty.
As mentioned above, The Ring will leverage Samsung Health to access your health data “at no additional cost” while delivering a water resistant health and wellness tracking device in an even smaller and lighter form-factor than a traditional smartwatch – “Galaxy Ring collects insights right on your finger and personalizes your score on your phone. Wake up to your score each morning and challenge yourself to improve it a little bit each day.”
Head over to our hands-on review for a complete rundown of what to expect.
New low knocks Samsung’s latest 27-inch 4K UHD 144Hz Odyssey G7 G70D gaming monitor down to $480 (Save $220)
Samsung is now offering its latest 27-inch Odyssey G7 G70D 4K UHD 144Hz gaming monitor for $479.99 shipped. This is one of the newest Odyssey displays that hit the scene earlier this year in January carrying a $700 price tag. It saw its first significant discount shortly after its debut when it dropped to the $600 mark in February, but today’s deal delivers a new best price to beat with a solid $220 mark down. This is the lowest price we have tracked for this 27-inch 4K high refresh-rate panel, and both Amazon and Best Buy are matching its price today at $479.99 shipped. Head below for more details.
The Odyssey G70D is one of Samsung’s latest models out there, sporting a 27-inch 144Hz IPS panel. It offers a sharp 4K resolution and ensures smooth gameplay with a 1ms response time. This model has AMD’s FreeSync support to eliminate screen tearing for a better gaming experience, and it also includes Samsung’s Gaming Hub, turning it into a smart TV with access to streaming apps and more, all navigable via a remote. Other highlights include a VESA DisplayHDR400 certification, and a solid stand with swivel, tilt, and height adjustment, among other things.
Folks looking for a relatively bigger display can also consider the 32-inch variant of this monitor which is down at $529.99 shipped. This one also sports a 144Hz refresh rate panel, and it’s down from its usual price of $800.
Samsung’s M8 Smart Monitor with onboard webcam at $300 off once again
Update: This $300 price drop is now live once again. Details below in the original post.
Over at Samsung we have spotted a solid deal on the 4K Samsung 32-inch Smart Monitor M8 (M80D) at $399.99 shipped. Regularly $700, this 2024 model has now dropped $300 to mark a return to the price we tracked over the holidays last year.
Today’s deal on the Smart Monitor M8 is now also live over at Amazon where we have only ever seen it go for a little bit less at $380 during a couple very brief sales last year.
Nonetheless, today’s deal is a timely one as this is one of the better add-on monitors out there for Apple’s headless M4 Mac mini in my opinion, and those happen to be seeing some relatively rare price drops at Amazon today – scope out the details on those right here.
That said, the Samsung Smart Monitors are a notable option no matter what you hook them up to you ask me, and the M8 model we have here is the latest option sitting atop the lineup outside the OLED M9 model that debuted at CES this year and will likely release at a much higher price when it finally sees the light of day.
The M8 features a 4K UHD 2160p resolution alongside an onboard SlimFit webcam, speakers, a solar-charging remote, and even a built-in USB hub (USB-C, USB-A, and HDMI connections) – this is a whole lot more than just a typical computer display.
It also lands with the ability to stream OTT content with no additional gear and provide access to the Samsung Gaming Hub – “instantly play the biggest games from top streaming partners, with no PC or console needed; Discover new games or replay old favorites all in one place”
Google Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) sees giant open-box price drop to $171 (Reg. $280 new)
As we featured this morning, Best Buy has now launched a massive outlet sale event loaded with big-time deals on a little bit of just about everything and one of those things is the latest Google Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen). This one carries a regular price at $280 and is currently on sale for $239.98 shipped in brand-new condition from Amazon. However, as part of the now live Best Buy event, you’ll find “excellent” condition open-box units with a full warranty down at $170.99 shipped – this is among the best prices we have ever tracked from a reputable source. Details below.
Best Buy’s open-box deals on the Google Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) span all three colors at different prices, but all of them are quite notable here today:
- Polished Silver $171 (Reg. $280 new)
- Polished Obsidian $180 (Reg. $280 new)
- Polished Gold $182 (Reg. $280 new)
You’re looking at up to $109 in savings and the best we can find in this sort of condition from a proper source. These units “work and look like new” with all original parts, packaging, and accessories included “(or suitable replacement).” They also ship with a 2-year parts and labor warranty as well.
For comparison’s sake, we are indeed still tracking select colorways down at $240 in brand-new condition straight from Amazon, as mentioned above and detailed right here. While this is a solid price considering they have only been on sale a handful of times or less since release last summer, having never dropped below $223 at Amazon in that time, this is clearly a whole lot more than the warranty-protected, “excellent” condition open-box units we are featuring here today.

Geek Squad certified refurbished Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are $119 off today, deals from $110
As part of the now live Best Buy outlet sale, you will now find Geek Squad Certified Refurbished Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 units on sale from $109.99 shipped. They carry a regular list price at $229 and are currently fetching as much at Amazon and Best Buy in brand new condition.
Today’s deal delivers a solid $119 of the list price on Google’s Pixel Buds Pro 2 for one of the lowest prices we have ever tracked from a reputable refurbished source.
These refurbs include the “earbuds, wireless charging case, eartips with 4 size options: extra small, small, medium (attached to earbuds), large, quick start guide” and a 90-day warranty.
Geek Squad Certified Refurbished products are thoroughly, painstakingly and lovingly tested, so you can be sure that your device will work right, right away.
Comparing this refurbished discount to the lowest totals we have tracked in new condition at Amazon, we have only seen them drop below $199 less than a handful of times since release last summer – they dropped to $179 for Black Friday last year and once in mid March this year.
While we tend to stay away from just any refurbished listing when it comes to headphones and earbuds, as I have detailed previously, if you’re going to go refurb to score a sweet deal you might as well go with something along the lines of the Amazon Premium Renewed program or the Geek Squad Certified Refurbished units – in my experience, along with the Bose program, they tend to deliver the best quality units.

Rare deal has the latest Google TV Streamer (4K) down at $79 shipped today
Today we are tracking a relatively rare chance to save on the latest Google TV Streamer (4K) on Amazon at $79 shipped. It is also matched at Best Buy. This deal is on the Porcelain color model, but you will find both colors marked down to $80 directly from the Google Store. Regularly $100, you’re looking at a solid 20% discount and the best price we can find.
While we have tracked a couple deals since its debut last summer, today’s offer is still a relatively rare one, marking one of the only chances we have tracked to save on the latest Google TV streaming device on Amazon.
As we exclusively reported last summer with the very first images, Google officially replaced the Chromecast with Google TV (4K) from 2020 with the new set top box-style form-factor we are featuring here today. It lands with an upgraded processor (“22% faster”), twice the memory of the previous generation, and 32GB of storage.
It delivers up to 4K HDR with Dolby Vision and support for Dolby Atmos audio alongside a redesigned remote – “use your voice to find shows, get answers, and control smart home devices; the customizable button lets you open your favorite app or the home panel in one click; and easily find your lost remote by making it ring.”
