The launch of ASUS’s Zenbook A14 is underway in the US, the company has officially announced. The Zenbook A14 is the latest ultrabook laptop from ASUS, sporting a build with an incredibly lightweight design. The company announced the Zenbook A14 at CES 2025 back in the beginning of January, but at the time it hadn’t mentioned any specific release dates. Now just twenty days later, the laptop is available for purchase in the US.

This is a big deal for ASUS because the Zenbook A14 is the company’s first laptop in the Zenbook line with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X chipset onboard. It has a heavy focus on AI with several Copilot+ features baked in, such as Live Captions that can translate other languages in real time. It also comes with a 14-inch Lumina OLED display, and it’s made with Ceraluminumm which ASUS says is incredibly durable and has “unmatched scratch resistance.”

What really makes the Zenbook A14 stand out though, is that it weighs only 2.18 lbs. and has a battery life of up to 32 hours. With regard to the weight, ASUS claims this is a full pound lighter than comparable laptops.

The Zenbook A14 launch today does not include both colors

ASUS will be launching the Zenbook A14 in two different colors, but both of them aren’t part of this launch. Instead, ASUS is choosing to split up the launch into two different releases. Starting today, ASUS says, the Zenbook A14 will be available in the Iceland Gray color. You can pick it up from Best Buy or the ASUS Store directly, and it’ll retail for $1,099.99. Best Buy may have it in stores, but you will be able to find it on the Best Buy website as well.

That being said, neither ASUS nor Best Buy seem to have it in stock yet. However, the listings are now live, so the laptop should actually be purchaseable shortly. As for the additional color, this will be a slightly different configuration coming in Zabriskie Beige, and it’s not coming out until later this year. Specifically, it’ll be launching through Best Buy in late Q1, 2025. So it could still be a month or two before you can buy it.

The pricing on this color will be $899.99, and most of the specs should be the same. At $200 less though, it’s probably coming with less RAM and storage. Regardless of the differences, it’ll still have the Snapdragon X chipset. As well as all the Copilot+ features and the lightweight, portable design.

The laptop that lasts for multiple days on a single charge

If you’re buying an ultrabook, you’re likely getting one for work, school, or both. In those cases, you want the laptop to last you throughout the day without having to worry about plugging it in. The Zenbook A14 should be able to provide that. ASUS claims it can last for multiple days on a single charge, all thanks to its 70Wh battery and highly efficient power management.

This all adds to the portability factor because you won’t have to bring the charger with you. This means you can stow it away in your bag, save space, and prevent from carrying around more weight. All of which sounds great.
