Apple IPhone SE 4 Tipped To Launch Next Week

Apple could launch the iPhone SE 4 next week, based on a new report. The information comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who is usually an accurate source of Apple-related information. So there’s no reason to doubt him.

The Apple iPhone SE 4 will launch next week, it would seem

Mark Gurman says that the company is expected to announce the phone “as early as next week”, and that the device will be “going on sale later in the month”. He bases that information on what he heard from “people with knowledge of the matter.”

What’s also interesting is that Apple will not host an event for this smartphone launch. Mark Gurman does not expect it to happen. That is probably not all that surprising, but there you go. This more or less confirms it.

This news in general does come as a bit of a surprise. We were expecting the iPhone SE 4 to arrive in March, as that’s what several reports suggested. It seems like it’s coming a bit sooner than expected, and it will likely be the only Apple product that will launch next week.

It will become the first phone in Apple’s lineup to use an in-house 5G modem

The iPhone SE 4 will become the first Apple phone to feature the company’s in-house 5G modem. It’s also representing a major change compared to the iPhone SE 3, as Apple is changing the design.

This phone will be based on the iPhone 14’s design, and will likely utilize the Apple A18 chip. A Type-C port will be included at the bottom, while a notch is expected to be placed on the front.

As a reminder, the iPhone SE 3’s design was based on the iPhone 8 which arrived back in 2017. That phone has huge bezels, a tiny display, and a button below the display. So, yes, this will be a huge change for iPhone SE users.

The phone is expected to cost under $500, though we still don’t know its exact price tag. As a reminder, the iPhone SE 3 was priced at $429 when it launched.
