Infinix has announced its NOTE 50 series of smartphones and brought the devices to MWC 2025. We managed to spend some time with the devices there, and you’ll find some pictures from that experience in the gallery below.
Inifinix just announced its ‘NOTE 50’ series smartphones, and they’re very affordable
We’re here to talk more about these two smartphones, the Infinix NOTE 50 and NOTE 50 Pro, as they were recently announced. These two phones are budget devices, and even the ‘Pro’ model costs less than $210. More on that later.
These two devices include aerospace-grade ArmorAlloy frame with HyperCasting technology. They also offer One-Tap Infinix AI with Folax for “seamless productivity”, says the company. You’ll even find integrated health monitoring here, with SpO2 and heart rate tracking.
The One-Tap AI system comes with Infinix’s AI assistant, Folax
Thanks to the One-Tap AI system, users can activate Infinix’s AI assistant, Folax, with a simple long press of the power key. Infinix says that Folax “efficiently recognizes on-screen content, providing instant information retrieval and text translation without the need to switch apps. It also offers a Q&A function and One-Tap Ask Screen, which identifies content such as text, images, videos, and even live camera views.”
We don’t usually see features like that in budget phones at this level, but there you go. If you check out the design of the two phones, you’ll likely be even more impressed. The bezels are quite thin, especially for such affordable phones. Both phones do look the same, as far as general design is concerned.
We managed to get some hands-on time with the ‘Racing Edition’
The model you’ll see in our hands-on images is a special ‘Racing Edition’, which is “inspired by the racing car’s phygital design philosophy”. It has tri-color stripes on the back, to symbolize speed and motion.
The ‘Pro’ model of the device also includes a Bio-Active Halo AI lighting on the back, near the camera. That is basically a multi-color mini-LED, which can light up for calls, notifications, charging, and so on.
You’ll notice that both phones have a flat frame all around, while its front and back sides are also flat. A centered display camera hole sits on the front, while an interesting-looking camera island is included on the back. It sure is unique.
The two devices are very similar when it comes to specs and identical design-wise
These two smartphones are very similar in terms of specs too. There are some differences in the camera department and charging, but that’s about it. So we’ll talk about specs for both of them at the same time.
A 6.78-inch fullHD+ (2436 x 1080) AMOLED display sits on these two phones. It’s an AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It goes up to 1,300 nits of peak brightness and supports high-frequency PWM dimming.
MediaTek’s Helio G100 Ultimate SoC fuels both smartphones, that’s a 6nm chip. You’ll also find 8GB/12GB of LPDDR4X RAM here, along with 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which is expandable via a microSD card.
Android 15 comes pre-installed, while JBL tuned the speakers
Android 15 comes pre-installed here, with XOS 15 skin on top of it. There are two SIM card slots on the inside of both phones and an in-display fingerprint scanner. An IR blaster sits at the top of the phone, while stereo speakers tuned by JBL are also included here. The Infinix NOTE 50 phones are IP64-certified for dust and splash resistance. They support Bluetooth 5.3.
A 50-megapixel main camera (OIS) sits on the back of both phones, and the same goes for an 8-megapixel ultrawide unit. The cameras on the front differ. The regular model has a 13-megapixel unit, while the ‘Pro’ model comes with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
A 5,200mAh battery sits inside both of these smartphones. The Infinix NOTE 50 Pro does offer faster wired charging, though, at 90W, compared to 45W on the regular model. Both of them support 30W wireless charging.
The pricing starts at only $180
The Infinix NOTE 50 series comes in five colors, Titanium Gray, Enchanted Purple, Ruby Red, Mountain Shade, and special Racing Edition. The pricing starts at $180 for the Infinix NOTE 50, and at $210 for the Infinix NOTE 50 Pro. It will vary from one region to the next.
