Nubia Flip 2 Goes Global To Compete With Galaxy Z Flip 6

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona is currently ongoing, and we’ve seen plenty of interesting products presented there. ZTE introduced the Nubia Neo 3 GT 5G handset, an affordable gaming phone. The company is now back with the Nubia Flip 2 foldable, as the device has been announced for global markets.

The phone was initially announced in mid-January, but it was not made available in many markets at that point. This launch represents the phone’s global launch.

This handset comes with two cameras on the back and a vertical screen right next to them. The phone has a 125-degree triple-arc back cover and features an aerospace aluminum frame too. There is a display camera hole centered on its main display.

Its main display is quite sharp and supports high-frequency PWM dimming

Speaking of the main display, it measures 6.9 inches, and it’s a 2790 x 1188 AMOLED panel. It supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and it has high-frequency PWM dimming. The cover display, on the other hand, measures 3 inches and has a resolution of 682 x 422.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300X processor fuels this smartphone. That chip is backed by 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. Android 14 comes pre-installed here, by the way.

The device is water and dust resistant

A 4,325mAh battery is also included on the inside, while 33W charging is supported. The phone supports dual SIM setup (nano SIM + eSIM), and it is IP42 certified (water and dust resistance). There are also two speakers here, and DTS:X Ultra support as well.

A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.59 aperture lens) sits on the back, along with a 2-megapixel depth camera (f/2.2 aperture lens). A single 32-megapixel selfie camera sits on the main panel.

The phone has a side-facing fingerprint scanner, which is embedded in the power/lock key. Bluetooth 5.3 is also supported here. The Nubia Flip 2 measures 170 x 76 x 7.2mm unfolded and 87 x 76 x 15.8mm folded. It weighs 191 grams.

It comes in Lilac Purple and Night Black colors, while the pricing starts at €699. This phone hasn’t even launched in China yet, only Japan. It will, however, be coming to China as well, after the European launch.
