Samsung Shows Off New Galaxy Buds 3 Features For One UI 7, Ignores Rollout Delay

In a new post today, Samsung has shown off some new features coming to the Galaxy Buds 3 series with One UI 7, while completely ignoring the million questions surrounding the rollout of One UI 7.

One of the new features in One UI 7 is the expansion of controls for Galaxy Buds to the system as a whole, rather than having a lot of those controls solely within the Galaxy Wearable app. In a post, Samsung details new features that Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro owners can experience with One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25 series, such as being able to adjust sound profiles, noise cancellation, and more all directly through the quick settings panel.

The same panel can also be used to adjust sound settings on a per-app basis.

Other new Galaxy Buds 3 features in One UI 7 include “Adapt sound,” which tailors a sound profile to you for calls and video, as well as improvements to Samsung’s Interpreter translation feature.

The new features seem great, but a lot of them are exclusive to One UI 7, which is currently available solely on the Galaxy S25 series. Despite the Android 15-based update having been in beta for almost three months now, Samsung has yet to announce any details on the public rollout, and this post completely ignores the delay.

Samsung teases that the “rollout of One UI 7” brings these features but provides no additional context on when anyone will be able to access them outside of buying a Galaxy S25. That line even somewhat highlights the delay, as Samsung links back to a promotional post from early December 2024.

Rumor has it that the delay of One UI 7 isn’t ending any time soon, as new beta builds are reportedly incoming. Leaks indicate that stable updates may not be released until mid-April. Meanwhile, Google is set to release Android 16’s stable update in Q2.

Samsung previously released a new control widget for Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and today started rolling out a new update for Buds 3 Pro which presumably assists in launching these features.
