One UI 7 Could Finally Reach Galaxy S24, Fold 6 & Flip 6 In March

The rollout of the One UI 7 update has already accumulated quite a few delays. Users waited for the Android 15-based update to land for months, even on the Galaxy S24 series. Currently, only the new Galaxy S25 lineup—and, surprisingly, the recently launched Galaxy A06 5G—run the firmware. That said, a new leak claims that Samsung could finally begin rolling out One UI 7 for Galaxy S24 devices and current Galaxy Z foldables in March.

It’s hard to understand the delay behind the Android 15 update for Samsung phones and tablets. Most big Android brands have already sent the OTA to their flagship devices weeks—or even months—ago. Some even thought that the company was doing this on purpose to give its Galaxy S25 series a temporary extra appeal. However, some reliable tipsters and insiders have claimed that Samsung actually struggled during the development.

The Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 may get One UI 7 in March, tipster claims

Anyway, tipster PandaFlash 𝕏 said the Galaxy S24 series could finally receive One UI 7 in March. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, Samsung’s 2024 foldables, could also receive the same treatment. The tipster cites a “new Samsung software internal source,” though you should still take that with a pinch of salt, as a later post added that “you’ll have to wait for confirmation.”

That said, the time frame matches the one previously suggested by Tarun Vats, another tipster. Vats said last month that Samsung could begin the rollout of One UI 7 between late February and early March. It remains to be seen if these leaks come to pass and users of the Galaxy S24 lineup finally receive the long-awaited update.

Another recent report suggested that the OTA could have been delayed again until possibly April. The same source suggested that this could have led to the cancellation of One UI 7.1 development. A One UI 7.0.1 update, which may arrive with the next-gen Galaxy Z Fold and Flip models, could take its place.
