Galaxy Tab S9 Gets February 2025 Patch, Rolling Out Now

With the Galaxy S25 getting most of the attention in the last couple of months, things have been quiet for Samsung’s other devices, like the Galaxy Tab S9. Samsung’s last-gen Galaxy Tab S9 is getting a security patch to start off the year.

The Galaxy Tab S9 has been a solid device for Samsung users. It isn’t as up-to-date as the Galaxy Tab S10, but it brings reliable specs in a good build.

According to SamMobile, the Galaxy Tab S9 is seeing a new security patch for the month of February begin to roll out. for now, it looks like the update is only in Europe, though it’s likely that the patch will start to spread to more regions very soon. This update does not seem to include the Galaxy Tab S9 FE.

As with most security patches, this one is a run-of-the-mill update that addresses some vulnerabilities that were present in the previous software version. Patches are nothing to be concerned about, they simply offer extra protection as more threats pop up during the year.

The Galaxy Tab S9 is set to get 5 years of security updates, which means there are around d 3 more years left of support for the device. The new Galaxy Tab S10 gets seven years, as the company has shifted its update commitment a couple of times over the past few releases.

We’re expecting to see One UI 7 come to the Galaxy Tab series, along with other S devices in the coming months.
