Trade-in values have become Samsung’s biggest point of attraction for upgraders towards the latest Galaxy devices, and for the Galaxy S25, they’re better than they’ve ever been. Now that pre-orders are over, Samsung has surprisingly kept up those super-high trade-in values, while also now letting users trade in a Pixel 9 series device.
Samsung has offered huge trade values for past Galaxy devices, but it’s better than it’s ever been on the Galaxy S25 series, at least for a non-folding device. Samsung was offering up to $900 in trade-in value for select devices towards the Galaxy S25 Ultra during pre-orders, up from $750 towards the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Pre-orders ended last week as the Galaxy S25 series is now officially available, but those higher trade-in values are still available through Samsung.com.

New since we first reported on the Galaxy S25’s trade-in values, too, is the ability to trade up from a Pixel 9 series device. Samsung was only accepting up to the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro previously, but now accepts trade-ins of the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro. Notably, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold are still excluded. You’ll get up to $650 for the Pro, roughly 65% of its retail price, while Pixel 9 can get up to $550, a little under 70% of its retail price. These are more or less equivalent to private market prices for these devices, so if you’re looking to make a swap, it might end up being a good deal even through Google’s devices only launched in August.
