Vivo X200 Ultra To Include Several Interesting Camera Changes

Based on a new leak, the Vivo X200 Ultra will include several interesting camera changes. This information comes from Digital Chat Station, one of the best-known tipsters out there. He shared the info via Weibo.

The Vivo X200 Ultra will make several interesting camera-related changes

The tipster did repeat the camera specs of the phone, so let’s get through that first. The Vivo X200 Ultra is tipped to include a 50-megapixel main camera (1/1.28-inch sensor size), a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (1/1.4-inch sensor size), and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (1/1.28-inch sensor size).

It seems like it will keep the same main and periscope telephoto units as the Vivo X200 Pro. The ultrawide camera will be different, though, it will be much improved. The Vivo X200 Pro features a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 1/2.76-inch sensor size. The Vivo X200 Ultra will essentially use the same sensor for that camera as for the main one, a 1/1.28-inch sensor size.

That’s a major change, as that sensor is much larger and it will allow a lot more light to enter the scene. Thanks to that, Vivo can make another change that many photographers will appreciate.

The main camera will default to 1.5x zoom aka 35mm focal length

The main camera will default to 1.5x zoom, which is a 35mm focal length equivalent. The ultrawide camera will default to 1x instead of 0.5x or 0.6x, but you’ll be able to change that on the fly from the viewfinder, of course.

This is a very interesting move on Vivo’s part. You’ll get three outstanding cameras on the phone. We’re not sure if any additional changes in terms of camera hardware will be issued, but it’s possible.

The device will also include a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It will be a quad micro-curved display like on the Vivo X200 Pro, by the way.

We’re still not sure if this phone will launch globally or not

A 6,000mAh battery will likely be a part of the package too, as will 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. Android 15 will come pre-installed, along with Vivo’s custom UI. In China, OriginOS will be in use, while Funtouch will be used in a global model if it ever comes to life.

The Vivo X100 Ultra launched in May last year, so we’re expecting the Vivo X200 Ultra to follow around that time this year. Nothing has been confirmed yet, though.
