Sony Cameras Can Now Send Photos To Lightroom And Google Drive

Sony has just announced that, for select cameras, a new option will be available to send photos directly into Adobe Lightroom as well as Google Drive.

In the latest update to the Sony Creators’ app, the option for select cameras to transfer both images and videos to cloud providers has been added. This works with Adobe Lightroom and Google Drive for a quick and easy way to offload images or footage without connecting to a computer.

Sony explains:

Automatic Cloud Transfer to Google Drive or Adobe Lightroom: In response to creator requests for a faster, more seamless workflow, this new feature allows users to automatically transfer images and videos to external cloud storage providers, offering immediate accessibility for collaborative editing and organization across platforms.

However, Google Drive integration won’t work with all Sony cameras.

Compatible models include FX3, FX30, α1 II, α1, α9 III, α7R V, α7S III, α7 IV, α7CR, α7C II, α6700, ZV-E1, ZV-E10 II, ZV-1 II, ZV-1F, and ILX-LR1. Older cameras are still designed to pair with Sony’s previous Edge app, which does not (yet) support this feature.

The Sony Creators’ app is now available on the Play Store and App Store.
