The Galaxy S25 series is launching tomorrow if Samsung’s plans move forward. That means everything about the series will be known in just a few hours. Prior to that, a new leak shows off just what to expect in One UI 7 with the Galaxy S25 series thanks to surfaced promo images.
With a lineup of three main devices that bring small changes over the previous generation, we know the Galaxy S25 series will rely heavily on AI prowess. Previous leaks have shown certain features, like Galaxy insights in action and even Nightography. The newest set of marketing images gives a more detailed look at AI in One UI 7 (via Evan Blass).
The first image is probably one of the most exciting ones. The Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra will be equipped with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC to tackle more challenging AI tasks. While Galaxy insights might not seem so difficult, it is yet another AI task the phone has to take on, and the Galaxy S25 will come with this feature out of the box.
Galaxy insights is a suite within a suite of AI features within One UI 7. The Galaxy S25 leak shows off a morning brief, an evening brief, and a commute summary, each of which can be seen in the image above. These tools will essentially aggregate data from installed apps and pull it into a summary that displays what the phone thinks you need to know at a glance. It looks like the majority of data pulled from apps will be with Samsung’s proprietary apps, to begin with, but one can assume more apps will support the function later on in Samsung’s latest OS.
The Galaxy S25 lineup also looks poised to deliver better camera performance than last year. Samsung’s post-processing has never been great, but the hope is that AI can mediate some of those woes.
Samsung shows off features like Night Video and ProScaler in the above images. Night Video is similar to what the Pixel series offers for low-light scenarios. The tool will boost visuals to bring out a better video that isn’t impossible to see. Samsung also notes Audio Eraser will have a place in the app, as well.
ProScaler is a screen feature that looks to enhance general visuals on the AMOLED panel, likely as a different video engine for the phone. It will be interesting to see if there’s a big difference in how images are portrayed on the Galaxy S25 Ultra and possibly S25+, as it looks like the feature is unique to QHD+ devices.
Samsung’s other promo images in the leak for the Galaxy S25 are pretty cut and dry. The company shows off Samsung Wallet and Smart Switch, which most are familiar with. RCS messaging does get a shoutout, which is good to see as the brand pushes the messaging standard in a likely attempt to persuade iPhone users to make the switch. Not to mention, official specs are included in the leak.
The Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra all launch tomorrow, January 22. There is one day left to reserve a $50 pre-order credit for free through Samsung’s Galaxy Reserve event.
