Best Low-Profile Gaming Keyboard: Logitech G915 X LIGHTSPEED

AH Logitech G915 X Lightspeed

With the G915 X LIGHTSPEED, Logitech introduced some big improvements to what was one of our favorite mechanical gaming keyboards of all time, the Logitech G915 LIGHTSPEED. The new model which Logitech announced and released late last year, now comes with support for USB-C charging instead of the antiquated micro USB. This means you can use just about any USB-C cable to recharge the keyboard’s internal battery, or even use the cable to keep it plugged in and use in a wired state.

That being said, the keyboard does come with its own USB-C cable so you will be good to go there. Much of the keyboard remains the same as Logitech didn’t see the need to change everything. The layout and overall look, for example, haven’t really changed much. And this is great because the older model was already really sleek-looking. That being said, there are several improvements. Battery life for one. The keyboard now lasts longer between charges I’ve found.

The keyboard still doesn’t have hot-swappable switches, however, Logitech has now replaced the older ones with new cross-style switches that are easier to swap out. And that’s a big plus for those who want to customize their board. Additionally, there have been improvements made to the actuation point, it’s now a 1.3mm actuation point.

The G915 X also supports Logitech’s KEYCONTROL feature. This is a huge improvement over the previous model. Because it lets you assign several functions to a single key, and you can do this for multiple keys. Overall this is one of the best gaming keyboards you can buy.

Best Gaming Earbuds: SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds

AH SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds

The SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds might be the best accessory to buy on this list, simply because of their versatility. They’re fairly reasonably priced at $160, and you can use these earbuds for basically any gaming platform. For starters, they come with a USB-C dongle that allows the earbuds to connect to your chosen platform with a low-latency connection. This way you get lag-free game audio. You can use this dongle with PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PC, handhelds, and even mobile devices.

What’s more, is that these connect via Bluetooth as well. So if you just want to use the Bluetooth connection for your phone, you can. This is perfect if you’re just planning to use the earbuds for listening to music or watching videos.

These also come with active noise cancellation. Whether you’re listening to music or playing games, the ANC is going to ensure that no outside noises can interrupt your entertainment. However, you can turn on a transparency mode if you need to be aware of your surroundings, or if you just want to be able to talk to people while you play.

These can last for up to 10 hours on a single charge, or up to 40 hours with the included charging case. Which, by the way, supports Qi wireless charging. The earbuds also connect to the SteelSeries Arctis companion app, which has 100+ game profile presets to choose from. You’ll want to give these a look as they can change the way the game sounds. The Arctis GameBuds are versatile, portable, and comfortable. Plus they don’t cost too much. In short, you can’t go wrong with them.

Best Accessory For Immersion: Razer Freyja

AH Razer Freyja

If there’s one accessory that everyone should experience it’s the Razer Freyja. This haptic seat cushion from Razer was initially shown off at CES back in 2024 and was launched later in the year. It’s powered by Razer’s Sensa HD haptics and it’s entire reason for being is to enhance your gameplay with haptic feedback. Now there are two ways this seat cushion can do this.

The first is through the audio haptics function. What this does is analyze the sounds in your game or your content and it sends haptic feedback based on those sounds back to the seat cushion’s several points of vibration. This works incredibly well for certain content and it’s really something you have to experience yourself to realize just how cool it is. The second method is through the Sensa HD haptics. This works based on specially developed haptic feedback scenarios.

Razer worked with a number of game studios to have developers bake these special haptic actions into their games. So the haptics go off when certain things happen. In Hogwarts Legacy for example, you’ll feel Sensa effects for all your spell casts and more. And trust me, these effects make the vibrations feel very noticeably different. It’s a wild experience to say the least. The one downside here is that there aren’t a ton of Sensa HD games yet.

Luckily, the audio haptics effects work for any game. Although, some will translate these audio effects better than others. League of Legends, for example, is not a good option. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is.

Best Gaming Chair: Herman Miller Embody Gaming Edition

AH Herman Miller Embody Gaming Chair

When it comes to gaming chairs, you don’t want to skimp on one. You’ll likely be spending hours upon hours sitting in this chair and if you have a bad one, over time (less than you might think I might add) that can cause health issues like back pain, neck pain, joint pain, and more. This is why we’ve selected the Herman Miller Embody Gaming Edition as the chair for this guide. Out of all the chairs I have tested over the years, this has by far been the best chair I’ve ever sat in. It also doubles as my work chair since I work from home.

With so many adjustable points on the Embody, you can fine-tune just about everything. This includes the arm height and width, the seat depth, the seat height, the back tension, and a few other things. I haven’t had any sort of pain from sitting too long (gaming or not) since I’ve had this. It takes a week or two to get used to because your body needs to adjust to sitting in the proper position, but after that, you’ll never want to sit in anything else.

It’s certainly spendy at a full retail price of $1,995 (currently on sale for 20% off), but this is an investment in your long-term health and you can’t really put a price on that. The gaming version of the Embody comes in several color options too so you can personalize the look to fit your gaming setup. What I really like is the copper-infused seat and back. The copper helps to evenly disperse heat so you stay cooler while sitting in the chair, which really helps if you’re gaming for longer periods of time.

And when you want to relax and kick back, you can disengage the back lock to lean back for watching movies or playing games with a controller. If you’re thinking about upgrading to a better gaming chair, this is the one to go with.

Best Controller: Sony DualSense Edge

DualSense Edge Controller

There are lots of good controllers out there, but the best one you can get your hands on is the DualSense Edge. It has the unmatched comfort of the DualSense with extra features and a few other extras like a hard shell travel case. With this controller, you can adjust the sensitivity, remap the controls, and swap out the joystick modules if one ever goes bad. Swapping out the joysticks is easy to do as well, and only takes about a minute to complete.

One of the best features is easily the back paddle buttons. There are two types of back buttons that come with the controller. And you can map specific controls to these for more advanced control in games. These are great for shooters. There’s also a locking attachment that locks the USB-C cable into place if you like to play wired. This ensures the cable can’t accidentally be yanked out of the controller.

The case has a nice bonus too that lets you charge the controller when it’s inside it. As there’s a little port at the top where you can slip a USB-C cable in. And since you can use this with PS5, PC, and mobile devices, the DualSense Edge is versatile. If you want a go-to controller for all your games, this is an excellent option.

Best Gaming Headset: Audeze Maxwell

AH Audeze Maxwell

When it comes to gaming headsets, there isn’t exactly a shortage of options. And it’s that huge selection that can make finding one that isn’t awful a more challenging prospect than you might think. I’ve tested quite a few different headsets with PS5 over the years and while there have been some great ones, the headset that I keep coming back to for every PS5 gaming session these days is the Audeze Maxwell.

There are just so many good things about it that it’s hard not to recommend. Even over other headsets that I absolutely love. The two biggest factors here are the battery life and the comfort. While I have generally recommended people go for the Pulse headset from Sony for its extreme value and affordability or the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for its premium quality, the Audeze Maxwell outshines everything. First, let’s talk about the battery life. It can last for up to 80 hours on a single charge.

This long-lasting battery life makes not having the hot-swappable batteries of the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless a non-issue. Because it will literally be weeks before you need to charge it up. Yes, the SteelSeries headset essentially has zero downtime, because there’s always a charged battery ready to go. This isn’t much of an issue either. The Audeze Maxwell supports Quick Charging and can be back to a full battery in less than a couple of hours. So you can just plug it in when you aren’t able to play and you’re good to go.

As for the comfort, as I said in my review. The ear cups and super soft leather ear pads hug your ears like they’re sandwiched between two pillowy clouds. You will be able to wear it all day with zero discomfort. The headset is a bit heavy, and it may take time to get used to it. But trust me when I say once you get past the weight, it’ll be the most comfortable gaming headset for PS5 that you’ve ever worn. Perhaps the most comfortable gaming headset period.

Another huge reason why this is the headset to buy is the sound quality. Thanks to the use of planar magnetic drivers, you get unmatched sound quality and immersive audio. So it feels like and sounds like you’re in the game. Using this headset, I was able to pick up on sounds I’d never heard before in games I have been playing for years. That’s truly uncanny. The Audeze Maxwell is a premium wireless headset and at a price of $299, it’s certainly not cheap. However, it’s worth every penny.

Best Case For The ASUS ROG Ally X: Dbrand Killswitch

AH Dbrand Killswitch For ROG Ally X

If you find yourself with an ASUS ROG Ally X and no case to protect it, then get yourself a Killswitch from Dbrand as soon as possible. I’ve been carrying around my ROG Ally X everywhere with this case since I’ve been testing it for the last month or two, and it’s amazing. The main part of the case is a grippy shell that fits over the entire unit. It adds an extra textured grip to the hand grips of the handheld, which is a huge bonus if you get sweaty palms.

The case also has a built-in kickstand if you want to prop up the ROG Ally X and use a Bluetooth controller to play. Although I haven’t used this much, I have on occasion and it works great. What’s also great about the kickstand is that on the backside of it, there are two slots for microSD cards. So if you have multiple cards for your games, you can always keep them with you without worrying you’re going to lose them.

And what is quite honestly the best part about this case is that it comes with a face cover. This fits over the front of the handheld and protects the screen and the joysticks from damage. It’s an absolute game-changer for keeping the ROG Ally X protected if you just want to toss it into your backpack. While you could buy a ton of other specialized bags or cases for this thing, this is the best one you can pick up simply because of all the nifty features. Plus, you can use any bag with this and still keep it protected. And that’s incredibly useful if you need to carry around other bigger items, such as a laptop. Do yourself a favor and protect your ROG Ally X with the Killswitch, you won’t regret it.

Best Gaming Mouse: Logitech G309 LIGHTSPEED

AH Logitech G309 LIGHTSPEED

I’ve been using this mouse for a few months now and while it’s not the type of mouse I typically use, it’s been excellent for the games I’m playing with a mouse and keyboard these days. It’s incredibly lightweight and it uses a AA battery for power. Which means you won’t have to recharge it ever. You just swap the batteries when you need to. Speaking of which, that won’t happen often. I’ve been using the same AA battery in this mouse for more than a month, and the battery life is only down to 95%.

Case in point, the battery life on this mouse is wild. If you don’t need a ton of extra buttons on your mouse, this should be your go-to. It works great for MOBA games and shooters, and really anything where you might want a competitive advantage. Because it’s light, you can whip it around quickly. And because it uses the LIGHTSPEED wireless technology, you have little to no latency from your mouse inputs. It can connect through Bluetooth too.

It’s also incredibly comfortable to grip and the switches have a long lifecycle. I don’t anticipate this mouse needing to replaced for several years. The G309 LIGHTSPEED is Powerplay compatible as well. This system lets you forego using the AA battery and slot in the Powerplay puck instead. You’ll find this on the bottom of the mouse, and what it does is continuously charge the mouse if you have the Powerplay mouse mat. So it essentially never runs out of battery life because it’s constantly charging. At around $78, this is a fantastic gaming mouse.

Best Mobile Controller: Razer Kishi Ultra

AH Razer Kishi Ultra Review (5)

When it comes to mobile controllers, they’re typically thought of something smaller and more compact. While that is usually the case, we’re recommending the Razer Kishi Ultra. This is still very portable but it does come with an increased size compared to Razer’s Kishi V2 Pro. The reason for that is because it comes with a few extra features, and it can fit larger devices such as 8-inch tablets.

The Kishi Ultra adds some aesthetic appeal with the included Razer Chroma RGB lighting. This is nice, but it’s purely aesthetic. What makes this controller awesome is the included Sensa HD haptics. We talked about this feature earlier with the Razer Freyja. These just add a little more immersion to your games where supported. Another really great feature, and probably the best thing about the Kishi Ultra, is that it’s a full-size controller. It’s much more comfortable than the Kishi V2 Pro and it has full-size joysticks.

It has better ergonomics, it can be used with PC games by plugging it in with a USB-C cable, and it supports Razer’s new Remote Play feature for streaming PC games. This controller is normally $149.99 so it isn’t cheap for a mobile controller, but like we said it can also be used for PC. So it’s not a one-trick pony. Plus, it’s currently on sale for $129.99, although we can’t say how long that price will last.
