Samsung Just Confirmed The Name Of Its Budget Foldable

The name of Samsung’s upcoming budget flip phone foldable has just been confirmed. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will be its name, as we suspected. This has been confirmed thanks to a new certification listing, the NBTC certification.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE name has been confirmed, Samsung’s budget foldable is coming
The phone was mentioned by name on the website, as shown below. That means that Samsung opted to go with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE instead of the Galaxy Z Flip FE. That does make more sense, of course, as the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also coming. If the company plans to make more budget flip phones, this is the way to go.

The phone appeared with the model number SM-F761B. This certification confirms the name of the device, but nothing else. NBTC stands for National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, and it’s Taiwan’s certification authority.
As a reminder, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE bagged both India’s BIS certification and the US’ FCC certification not long ago. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 next month, that much is obvious now.
The device will launch in mid-July, along with its siblings
The exact date is still unknown. However, reports are tipping either an early or mid-July launch. Samsung’s recent health event announcement kind of confirmed that the second Unpacked of the year will be taking place in New York. That’s what an earlier report suggested too. Based on the timing of that event, the company’s new foldables will launch in mid-July.
If you were hoping that Samsung’s first tri-fold phone would also make an appearance, well, that won’t happen. That device will likely arrive later this year, and only in Korea and China.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is tipped to utilize the Exynos 2400 processor from Samsung. It will also use 8GB of RAM and ship with Android 16 out of the box. Samsung’s One UI 8 will be included on top of it.
We also know that the device will support 25W wired charging, just like the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
