Sony’s PlayStation Pulse Explore earbuds are quite an excellent pair of true wireless earbuds, and Amazon currently has a deal on them that brings the price down by a noticeable amount. Normally, the PlayStation Pulse Explore earbuds would cost you $199 if they were available at full retail price, but Amazon now has them up for $169, which is a discount of 15% and a total savings of $30.

It might not seem like a lot, but there are two things to keep in mind. For one, this is the all-time low price for these earbuds when they’re brand new. Used pairs have been found on Amazon for considerably less, but they’re used. Secondly, the PlayStation Pulse Explore earbuds almost never go on sale. Making discounts like this one a rare find.

The PlayStation Pulse Explore earbuds are designed for gaming, but they also double as a good pair of Bluetooth true wireless earbuds for mobile devices. They use a technology called PlayStation Link for devices like the PS5 and PlayStation Portal remote play handheld. In fact, these are the only earbuds that work with the Portal.

Additionally, you can connect the earbuds to your mobile device via Bluetooth if you want to listen to music. What’s really nice is that these have planar magnetic drivers inside, and that really improves the sound quality. Plus, these have a simultaneous connection capability, allowing you to hear audio from the PlayStation Link connection and the Bluetooth connection at the same time. Battery life is probably the main downside here. They last for about 5 hours on a single charge, with an additional 10 hours from the charging case. So, not the greatest, but certainly manageable. All of that said, these are great, and you shouldn’t waste an opportunity to save money on them.
