According to the post, these upcoming features will let you generate videos that are “a few seconds” long—think short, dynamic clips brought to life from your images.

Interestingly, this isn’t entirely out of the blue. Honor recently announced a partnership with Google to integrate an image-to-video generator right into the native Gallery app of their upcoming Honor 400 series. That video generator is said to be powered by Google’s Veo 2 model. It will be capable of creating clips up to five seconds long from a single image.

As we all know, there’s a close collaboration between Google and Samsung. So, it’s certainly plausible that the image-to-video AI features Samsung is developing for Galaxy phones could be quite similar to what Honor is doing.
