the S25 Edge face down on a platform

After months of waiting, the Galaxy S25 Edge has finally been formally announced. Samsung first teased this device back in January, and we’re now getting our chance to purchase it, which means plenty of great deals from retailers and wireless carriers. Those looking to get the best price will want to stick with carrier deals, with most companies offering the phone for free, so long as you trade in an old phone.

Verizon is also offering this same promotion, making the phone available for preorder starting now, and delivering it to eager hands starting on May 30. Those that are interested can now head to the Verizon website, with this promotion applying to both current and new subscribers. The only thing you need is to bring your old Apple, Google or Samsung smartphone, trade it in, and sign up for a Verizon Unlimited myPlan.

You’re going to need to stick around for a little bit

When it comes to the details, it’s actually pretty simple. You’ll trade in an eligible phone from the aforementioned companies, commit to an Unlimited myPlan for three years, and Verizon will issue a monthly credit for the phone. Like other carrier deals, if you decide to leave early or move to another carrier, you’ll lose the remaining credits.

As part of the brand’s new initiative, Verizon is also offering a three-year price guarantee, which means your rate plan won’t change during the duration of the contract. For the most part, not a bad deal if you’re looking to sign up for a new plan — you might as well get a new phone in the process.

Of course, if this deal is tempting, you’ll also want to consider promotions from rivals AT&T and T-Mobile. Both brands are also offering the phone for free as well. However, T-Mobile’s deal is a little different from the rest, as the contract is for just 24 months, plus it’s throwing in a free storage upgrade.

With that said, be sure to check all the fine print from each carrier. But you’ll want to be quick, because these promotions won’t be around for long.

Samsung’s latest smartphone combines the best elements of the mainline Galaxy S25 trio with an all new slim chassis. But will the smaller battery and reduced sensor count be enough to win over enthusiasts?
