New Report Pins Q4 Release Date For Samsung’s ‘tri-Fold’ And Galaxy Z Flip FE

Samsung’s newest additions to its struggling foldable lineup, a “tri-fold” device and a budget-oriented Galaxy Z Flip FE, are allegedly set to debut in Q4 of this year, a bit later than some expected.

The Bell reports this week that Samsung has entered production for the displays on its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 releases, both expected to launch in July or August of this year. However, the company’s other two foldable releases are reportedly coming a bit later down the road.

The Galaxy Z Flip FE and Samsung’s “tri-fold” device, possibly called “Galaxy G Fold,” will be released sometime in Q4 2025 according to this report. It was previously reported that the Flip FE wouldn’t release until some “months” after the Flip 7, but this is the first relatively firm timeline we’ve heard. Meanwhile, the “tri-fold” has seen a constantly evolving timeline. A January 2025 report suggested a Q3 2025 release date, which would point to a delay on Samsung’s end as Android Police highlights. However, it was more recently reported that Samsung would only show off the device in Q3, with a full release sometime in early 2026. Based on that, it seems Samsung is closer to its original schedule, but we’re so far away, it’s all subject to change.

With the added context in mind, it’s hard to call this a “delay,” but it’s certainly later than many were hoping for.

Whatever the timeline ends up being, it seems like Samsung still has both of these devices on its timeline despite the ongoing tariff situation and the looming debut of a foldable iPhone from Apple.
