Galaxy XCover 7 Pro’s Rugged Design Revealed In Leaked Render

Everything indicates that Samsung is about to launch a new rugged device in its Galaxy XCover lineup. The Galaxy XCover 7 Pro—formerly known as the Galaxy XCover 8 Pro—has already received multiple certifications. We’ve also exclusively revealed all the phone’s key specs and price. Now, a leaked render shows us more about the design of the upcoming Galaxy XCover 7 Pro.
Like previous models, the XCover 7 Pro will be an ideal device for both industrial environments and adventurers who want to take their phone with them on mountaineering or expeditions. Basically, it will be a phone designed to withstand accidents and potentially dangerous situations. Samsung launched the vanilla XCover 7 in early 2023. So, it was about time for a new release in the series.
Leaked render of the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro shows what its design will look like
The new leaked render of the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro comes courtesy of YTECHB. The images show that the phone will feature a dual rear camera system. This is an improvement considering the XCover 7 only has a single rear sensor. XCover phones aren’t designed as handsets that offer the best photo quality. In fact, many of their tech specs place them in the mid-range segment. However, a more capable and versatile camera system is a welcome improvement.
Overall, the phone looks quite similar to the current XCover 7. The main difference seems to be the two new cameras, which forced the relocation of the two LED flashes. The bumps on the rear cover now appear flatter compared to the XCover 7, although the device gives the impression of being more robust.
As previously stated, the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro features a set of mid-range tech specs. There’s a 6.6-inch LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution (2408 x 1080 px) and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The rear camera system includes 50 MP (main) and 8 MP (ultrawide) sensors. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 13 MP front-facing camera.
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset will power the device, along with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. A microSD card slot will allow you to expand the device’s capacity by up to 2 TB. A 4,350 mAh battery with support for 15W wired charging will keep the lights on. Of course, the IP68 and MIL-STD-810H certifications will be present.
Lastly, the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro could be priced at €599 in Europe. There’s no official release date yet, but the multiple certifications it has received suggest an imminent announcement.
