Openvibe 1.10 Adds Image Crossposting And Better Profile Sharing

As the open web develops, Openvibe 1.10 is leading the charge with several new features to enhance your experience, rolling out right now to Android and iOS devices.

For those unfamiliar, Openvibe, as we’ve consistently advocated, consolidates your Bluesky, Mastodon, Nostr, and Threads accounts into a unified stream. Users can concurrently publish content across these platforms and receive a real-time feed from all except Meta’s Threads. The app is, therefore, a great centralized access point and management option for your social media accounts.

Announced across Openvibe’s social channels on Bluesky, Threads, and Mastodon, the 1.10 update is rolling out right now with a number of important changes to how you share posts across the various networks. Most notable in the new update is the addition of image crossposting. Effectively, this allows you to share an image that can be posted across other apps. This image includes watermarks with your social handles so that people know where you find out if you share in other apps away from Openvibe.

This also works for profile sharing in Openvibe 1.10 and creates several watermarks to all of your linked profiles so that people can find you across any of your social accounts. When migrating away from other services, this could be a good way to let your followers know where to find you without using URLs.

Like just about any update, Openvibe 1.10 includes a number of bug fixes and performance improvements. However, the dev team hasn’t specified what has been resolved. The original announcement post merely states that you should have a “smoother ride” when using the app on your smartphone. As noted, the Openvibe 1.10 update is rolling out right now via the Google Play Store.
