The Pixel 9 Pro Fold Is Getting A Dbrand Grip Case, Finally

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes with a notoriously small library of cases, as does any foldable phone. Dbrand is finally adding to it with its long-standing Grip case built specifically for the second-gen Google foldable — the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is, by nature, difficult to justify. Dbrand struggled a bit with the first Pixel Fold with case integrity issues, though it has presumably addressed all concerns in this new version. It was uncertain whether the company would develop another folding case after receiving some harsh community, but it seems to have stuck to bringing one to market, fortunately.

The Grip case has been around for some time, though that’s not a negative. The Grip case from Dbrand offers a few features that a lot of cases ignore, including an emphasis on grip — go figure. Each side of the case has a micro-textured surface that adds a ton of friction, even when your skin is oily. It doesn’t feel rough in the hand, and the case is just round enough on all sides to be rather comfortable.

This version brings a moving hinge cover, kickstand, and a smooth back designed for Dbrand’s skins. The case takes on a thick profile, but it means the $1,800 phone is fully protected. All but the fingerprint sensor and power button are covered by thick sides. The back sits flush to the camera bump, which isn’t big to begin tih.

The Dbrand Grip case for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes in at $59.90, which is in line with its other cases even though they don’t have literal moving parts. There is no time frame on the website, so they should be pretty fast.
