In its latest update, Google has added two small tweaks to Pixel Weather including better showing the date, as well as making it easier to save a location.
Live in Pixel Weather v1.0.20250127.729684887, Google has made two small updates to the app. This starts with the simple addition of showing dates underneath each day of the 10-day forecast. It’s a very small change, but one that makes it a bit easier to associate the upcoming forecast with a specific date.
Beyond that, when viewing the weather in your current location, a new “Save” button appears which allows you to save that location to the app’s homepage. Previously, you would have to manually search for that location to add it to the “Saved Locations” list.
In a smaller rollout, it seems, Google also appears to be adding snowfall forecasts to Pixel Weather. SmartDroid spotted the new card in the app, which hadn’t shown up previously. The card shows the estimated hourly snowfall, intensity of the snow, and the time. The publication says the same “Snow falling” (translated) card also appeared in the Google app’s weather experience, as well as in Search. We’re not seeing the same on our end, so this may be a localized feature or one that simply hasn’t rolled out widely. If you’re seeing it, let us know in the comments below.
