One UI 7’s AOD Update Brings Google’s Live Sports Updates & More

Samsung has rolled out a new update for its Always On Display (AOD) feature with the newer version of One UI 7. The latest update makes the AOD feature more user-friendly and simplifies Google’s live sports integration. There are three major changes in the new One UI 7 update, including a refined Google Sports UI, a new guide to help users set up Google Sports notifications within AOD, and Now Bar notice texts.

The new AOD update makes it easier for users to get live sports updates

Samsung has released version 8.8.25.5 of the Always On Display application. The fresh update brings an improved design for Google’s live sports-related content for the AOD. It makes it easier to view your favorite teams, scores, and schedules on the Always On Display. There’s a cleaner and more organized design in the newer version, so it’s easier to check your sports updates at a glance.

Furthermore, the new update for the AOD app brings a guide to help people set up notifications for sports updates. It addresses a common problem where users struggle to find the correct settings. This guide helps people set up their sports preferences on the AOD. It also makes it easier to get sports updates without having to go through several menus inside the settings.

Cleaner settings and alerts for the Now Bar

The latest update adds a notice text to the Now Bar to inform you if you have turned off application notifications. While it’s only a minor change, it could help prevent confusion about any missing notifications in the Now Bar. Now, a tiny label informs users if they have turned off app notifications.

Samsung is rolling out the new version of the AOD app in the Galaxy Store. You can install the new update by going to Galaxy Store > Menu option > Updates. The update is available for all Galaxy devices running the Android 15-based One UI 7 version. Since Samsung has released the update quite recently, it could take some time to reach all eligible Galaxy products.
